Yup....

Yes, as I'm sure you've already figured out, I've been M.I.A. again.....

Long story short as to where I've been:    I've been in training for work.....yes, I know I finally finished training in May....and guess what, in June, I accepted a new position at the same company, and it requires more training, which I began in July....and I've been in training ever since...

I hope to be done with my training in the next few weeks, so I can pay much more attention to my blog at that time.  I really miss updating it.  And I'm sure you're wondering why I don't do it after hours.  Simple.  I spend ALL day on the computer at work....they actually monitor our activity/productivity, based on whether or not we're working in the systems.  So, when I get home in the early evenings, I'm literally wanting to be nowhere near a computer.  I'm usually so worn out by that time as well, that I usually take about a 1.5 hour nap.  Yes, I know, it sounds silly to be napping.  But bear in mind that I'm in the office by 7am everyday...so it makes for shorter nights.  Especially since I'm a night owl to begin with...lol.  I'm usually in bed by 2am and up at 6:15am.

Work is TOUGH....so tough that after each training session, we are required to Certify in what we learned.  IF we don't Certify in the timeframe that they provide, then we are terminated.  So glad that there's no pressure here.  UGH!!  And yes, once I finish this round of training and certification, I get to be "on the floor" for about 2 weeks, then I go back into training for what I hope will be the FINAL bit of training/certification that I have to complete this year.

Now, in case you're wondering WHY I'm doing this?  It's because I'm moving up in the company, and after the ever elusive RAISE in this stupid economy.  Yes, I just got 2 raises so far this year.  Now, bear in mind that I'm not technically eligible for a raise until I've been with the company for at least 12 months.  I've been here just over 8 months so far....so not bad for the new kid.

Anyway, enough with the excuses....I plan to be back onboard for a full ride very soon.  And I do apologize to those of you who have been reading my blog.  I'll make it up to all of you....promise!!

Oh, in the meantime, I'm uploading a pic of a project that we are working on to keep my mind off of work on the weekends....it's a LEGO project, and it will be displayed at the Frisco LEGO store at Stonebriar Mall during the entire month of October.  If you get a chance to go see it, please do...it's a Haunted House Fun House ride...made entirely of LEGO bricks...  :)

Until next time, I hope you have a RIPArts kind of day!!

M.I.A....

So, I've been missing for a while, as I'm sure you've noticed. Unfortunately, I had to take a hiatus from my online duties, while I focused on my livelihood. You see, at the beginning of the holiday season, I lost my job. I could've moved to keep it, but I really didn't want to move to the middle of nowhere.
.
So, that being said, I kept a very low profile, while I searched. I have been able to nail down another job, though it took 3.5 months to nail it down, as certification was required. Hence, my hiatus. While I don't normally share my personal business, I didn't want anyone to think that I just didn't care about scrapping or blogging. Quite the opposite. I've missed it alot.
.
Now, I'm back on track, and ready to pick up where I left off.
.
Soooooooo.....I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack!! :)
.
Now, let's get started....first up...please check my calendar over to the right, to see where I'll be teaching. With that in mind, I have taught a few classes during my hiatus, and I have a few of my samples to share.....
.
I've also learned, during the last few months, to let my inner child out, and enjoy life. So I took up creating in another way recently. Yes, I bit the bullet, and have delved into the realm of LEGO building. LOL... In fact, I created my first project, and it's currently on display at the Frisco LEGO store. YAY!! It will be on display through the end of April. You can see a pic below of my project, if you're interested.... :)
