Excited...

Well, I'm excited about the triptych class that I've been working up the last few days. Mr. Bear was able to cut my triptychs, and I've been working fast and furious on it.

I have the base completed, now I need to embellish it, etc, and complete it, so that I can get the sample to the store.

This will be a class that I'm teaching at Remember When in Whitesboro, following the annual retreat there, in June. And since I've been asked, no, you don't have to attend the retreat to be able to take my class. It's open to everyone. We just ask that you sign up ASAP, as Mr. Bear has to cut these in advance. Once we're out of product, we're out.

Here's the base that I've worked on this week.

We will be using the wooden triptych, Tim Holtz stains, inks, some paint, dies, and all manner of embellishments. For more information, or to sign up for this one, you can call the store. The date is June 5th, at 10 am (if I recall correctly)...lol...

Until next time, I hope you have a RIPArts kind of day!!

New Class

So, I've been working up more class samples, and thought I should post this one....it's for an upcoming class at The Crafty Scrapper. It's called "Honey Sweet Cards", and we will be using this wonderful paper. We'll be learning about how to work with it using different techniques. Check my class schedule to the right for details.

Until next time, I hope you have a RIPArts kind of day!!

Soldered Jewelry 101

So, as I mentioned, Lex will be teaching a beginner's soldered jewelry class at Googly Eyes in Irving, TX. That being said, here is a SAMPLE of what you can create during class. The kits are such, that you will be able to choose your own images from those provided, allowing you to create a very personalized bracelet. In class, you will also be able to create 6 "filler" charms using beads to fill the gaps between the main charms.

Until next time, I hope you have a RIPArts kind of day!!

Great day!!

Had a great day yesterday at The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie. Taught a COPIC class, and really enjoyed the group I had. After the class, we discussed some up coming classes, and potential classes for the future. Once we finished there, we went to Googly Eyes, and Lex had a very productive meeting with the owners. Looks like Lex will be teaching at the store. He will be conducting classes in Soldered Jewelry, and in Metal Clay Jewelry. If you check the sidebar, you'll see the class dates/times. We hope to see you in class, as Lex continues his teaching endeavors. In the meantime, I'll be back in Waxahachie on the 30th of April for a COPIC III class (air brush), and a class on the honeycomb paper. If you're in the area, come on by for my classes. We're definitely going to be having some fun. After my class, you can always head over to Scarborough Faire (approximately 2 miles from the store)....and make it a fun filled day!! Until next time, we hope you have a RIPArts kind of day!!
